Royal Wootton Bassett Town Under 18s became the first team to take a point off Wiltshire League Floodlit Division favourites Bristol Manor Farm as Gavin Cook's side recorded an impressive 1-1 draw.

Bassett had been thumped 5-0 by their opponents when they met on the opening day of the season. But there was to be no repeat of that defeat as the teams played out a tight contest.

Bassett showed they meant business, bringing out two good saves from the Manor Farm 'keeper early on.

However the hosts eventually went behind through an unfortunate own goal.

Bassett then looked to be on course to suffer an agonising defeat. That was until Joe Beavis pounced late on, Bassett's leading scorer reacting quickest after an effort had struck the bar to earn a share of the spoils.
