Despite a promising performance against higher league opposition, Wootton Bassett Town Ladies fell to a 4-2 FA Women's Cup Preliminary round defeat against Ilminster Town.

Bassett made a flying start, taking the lead early on through Laura Gammon. However, an equaliser shortly before the break and quickfire goal following the restart gave Ilminster an advantage that they would not relinquish.

A stunning third goal made life tougher for Bassett. Nevertheless, Emily Bogg grabbed a late goal for the hosts, while Ilminster added a fourth.
